Ralph Ignatius Thomas Alles is a Sri Lankan educationalist. He served as the State Secretary for Ministry of Education from 1989 to 1993 and is currently holds the position of Chairman of the Gateway Group. R. I. T. Alles was educated at St. Aloysius' College, Galle and is the founder of D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo 07
Married to Rohini Alles who is also a teacher, they had three sons Tiran, Harsha & Malik. Tiran Alles is a leading businessmen, politician in the country, married to Lydia Alles and Dr Harsha Alles is a medical doctor turned cooperate executive in the Gateway Group,married to Dinali Alles. His youngest son, Malik Alles died at the age 17 due to a sporting accident at his alma mater D.S. Senanayake College.
